Especially the strainer used for filtering tea becomes very dirty and black in a few days and it is not easy to make it shine. Today we will tell you some tips and tricks, with the help of which the strainer can be cleaned.
There are many such small utensils in the kitchen of the house which we use every day, but we pay attention to them only when they get damaged. Strainer is also one of them – it is used repeatedly from making tea to sifting flour.
Due to continuous contact with water, milk, tea leaves and oil, it is quite common for the strainer to get rusted, dirt gets stuck and grease accumulates. Many times women also strain ghee through a tea strainer, due to which it becomes more sticky. In such a situation, it becomes difficult to clean it and the need arises to buy a new strainer.
Kitchen expert Sharmila Sumi of Palamu district said that the difficulty in cleaning many items kept in the kitchen increases. The easiest and most effective solution is to boil the strainer. Pour water in a pan and place a dirty sieve in it and let it boil for 5 to 7 minutes. The steam and temperature of the hot water loosens the dirt. After it cools down a bit, scrub it with an old toothbrush or steel brush – the sieve will shine immediately.

Baking soda is such a magical kitchen substance that has an immediate effect on stubborn grease. Put a strainer in hot water and add 2–3 teaspoons of baking soda on top. Let the water boil so the soda can do its work. Later clean it gently with the help of a brush. The accumulated oil layer and black spots disappear within minutes.
He further said that if the strainer has become very dirty, then a mixture of lemon juice and detergent is the best. Take lukewarm water in a pan, add detergent powder and squeeze some lemon in it. Dip the sieve in this solution and leave it for 5 minutes. The sourness of the lemon cuts away the grease and brings a new shine to the steel.
After all these processes, rub the sieve thoroughly with a brush, so that the particles trapped in the mesh are completely removed. Keep in mind, always wash the strainer in running water, this removes the dirt immediately.
After daily use, wash and dry the strainer immediately. Do not allow the tea grains to settle in the mesh and after filtering the oily item, add lukewarm water. Dirt will not stick to this.
He said that with a little hard work and these easy home remedies, your steel strainer will look as good as new. No rust, no dirt but shine and cleanliness which makes the kitchen more hygienic. Women can make small daily tasks easier by adopting these tricks.
