Giving information, Royal Chief Mufti of Uttar Pradesh Maulana Chaudhary Ifrahim Hussain says that hatred, jealousy and bitterness of hearts among humans sometimes take people on the wrong path. For this reason, activities like witchcraft, amulets and effects on food items are still seen in the society.
Maulana Sahib says that where there is weakness of faith and there is no complete faith in Allah, then some people do such things to harm others. It often happens that something is added to food or sweets and the person eating it suddenly feels nervous, irritable, weak, vomits or gets sick without any reason. If the medical tests also come back normal and still the person is not well, then it should be understood that this could be the result of some action taken. This is a situation when nothing is visible, but the effect is felt.
According to Maulana Ibrahim Hussain, clear ways have been mentioned in the Quran to avoid such consequences. Regular recitation of Ayatul Kursi, Surah Nas, Surah Falak and Surah Baqara helps in eliminating these bad effects. Besides, it is most important to remain pure, observe Namaz and spread goodness by avoiding evil. They say that when a person takes refuge in Allah and does good deeds, the effect of any witchcraft automatically gets erased.
