Tips For Increasing Pea Seeds: At present, farmers are harvesting pea crop in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh, but in many fields hardly any grains are being produced in the beans. According to agricultural experts, the biggest reason for this is the mistake of fertilizer management. Farmers often stop giving fertilizer after the first harvest, due to which the plant does not get adequate nutrition and the beans are not able to fill the grains. Experts advise that by doing balanced fertilizer management at the right time, not only will the beans yield abundant grains, but production will also increase, farmers will get good profits and sales will also improve in the market. Giving balanced fertilizer in basal dose
Agriculture expert Ganga Ram Singh told Local 18 that in pea cultivation, the health of the plants completely depends on the right balance of fertilizers. He said that while preparing the field, it is very important to mix well decomposed cow dung, potash and fertilizers like IPCO or DAP in fixed proportions as basal dose. Due to this, the plants become stronger, there is no hindrance in the formation of pods and the quality also improves.
Do not stop fertilizer after first picking
According to agricultural experts, often farmers stop giving fertilizer after the first harvest, due to which the number of grains in the pods produced later reduces. According to the expert, this is the biggest mistake made by farmers. He told that it is important to nourish the plants even after harvesting. For this, a solution of soluble fertilizers like 19-19 or 12-32-16 (12 watt 64) can be prepared and sprayed or it can also be given through drip system. Due to this, the size of the pod increases and the grains fill completely.
Quality will increase with proper nutrition
Ganga Ram Singh finally said that the quality and production of peas directly depends on the fertilizer management and supervision of the farmers. If timely nutrition is provided after harvesting, then the subsequent pods become strong, full and of excellent quality, due to which the farmer gets more profit in the market.
