According to the information, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will distribute an amount of Rs 15 crore to four thousand workers registered under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board in this program. Board Chairman Nardev Singh Kanwar said that under the present government, benefits worth more than Rs 63 crore have been given to the workers so far. 14 different schemes are being run by the Board for 14 workers, out of which the eligible beneficiaries who have applied under 8 schemes will be deposited directly into their bank accounts tomorrow. An amount of Rs 1 lakh each will also be provided to 19 single, widow and disabled women of the state.
Nardev Singh Kanwar said that special attention is being given to the education of children of workers through the board. Till now an amount of more than Rs 9 crore 28 lakh has been spent on this. Awareness camps have been organized across the state so that people can get information about the schemes of the board and they can avail its benefits in maximum numbers. So far, the board’s schemes have been publicized through such camps in 41 assemblies of 11 districts. He said that CM Sukhu’s thinking is that information about government schemes should reach the last person in the village, efforts are being made by the board in the same direction.
No big name will come to the rally
On one hand, from the CM to the entire government will participate in this celebration in Mandi, on the other hand, beneficiaries of schemes and other people from across the state will also be a part of this celebration. Although earlier the government had called it a celebration, but the BJP protested that Mandi district has recently faced such a big disaster and the government is coming to celebrate in the same district. Due to this, the government has now named it Jan Sankalp Rally. CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will participate in this conference as the chief guest. No big leader from Delhi is coming to attend this conference. Beneficiaries of state government schemes have been specially invited to participate in this. The entire Paddal ground and Mandi city has been decorated for this. This program will start from 11 am in the morning, which will end at around 3 pm.
