Earlier he started farming with 20 acres. Today he is farming 80 acres. In the last 5 years, he has bought 20 more acres and started growing banana, sugarcane, cotton and maize there too. The farmer says that he constantly innovates and does his farming using whatever high-tech systems are available for farming. Now he supplies water to 80 acres of land with one click from the computer, which is also saving his labour. He earns lakhs of rupees every year by farming.

When Local 18 team talked to farmer Vitthal Narayan Patil, he told that he was a government teacher. After leaving the government job, I planned to do farming and started farming in 20 acres. Made continuous innovations and today cultivates 80 acres. With the income from farming, he has purchased land at other places also. The district administration has also honored me as a prosperous farmer of the district and I often innovate and produce good production in farming. From time to time, I also keep taking information from agricultural scientists and agricultural officials. I cultivate banana, sugarcane, cotton, maize and soybean in my field.
Farming is done with computer system
The farmer says that Zee Irrigation plant has been installed and through this plant he can irrigate 80 acres of his field with just a single click. Due to which my laborers are saved. That’s why I am making profits worth lakhs of rupees every year. By earning money from this, they are buying agriculture at different places. At present the age of the farmer is 65 years and he has been doing farming for 40 years.
