Tata Motors CV Shares Listing: Tata Motors company Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles has been listed in the Indian stock market today on 12th November after the demerger. Shares of this company have started trading on both the exchanges BSE and NSE. A total of more than 368 crore equity shares have been listed. The face value of each share is Rs 2.
Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle business was listed on BSE with a premium of 26.6 percent. Meaning, the earlier value was Rs 261.90, this share has been listed much above that. This share opened on NSE at Rs 335, which means the share has been listed with a premium of 28 percent.
Demerger of Tata Motors
Let us tell you that Tata Motors had demerged. Which came into effect from 1 October 2025. Its record date was 14 October. Tata Motors now becomes two separate companies. A Tata Motors Passengers Vehicle company i.e. passenger car company like Nexon Punch. Secondly, Tata Motors is a company of commercial vehicles like trucks, buses etc. This demerger was done so that both the businesses could focus separately. Passenger vehicle company TMPV was separated and started trading on October 14 itself. Its share was at around Rs 400. Before demerger, the closing price of Tata Motors was Rs 660.75. From that, the implied value of the commercial vehicle was estimated to be between Rs 260 to Rs 270.
According to the report of Economic Times, Harshal Dasani, Business Head of INVasset PMS, had told before this listing that TMCVL, the commercial vehicle company separated from Tata Motors, is going to be listed soon. This will be the most watched debut of the auto sector this year. According to the price before demerger, the value of one share is around Rs 260 to 270. That means the market cap of the entire company is around Rs 90 thousand crores. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on this.
Share of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles
Shares of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles closed at Rs 404 on BSE on Wednesday. In the morning this share was at Rs 409. According to the report of Moneycontrol, despite the adjustment after demerger in October, till now this share has increased by more than 2 percent. Meaning the mood of investors is good and the stock is slowly going up.
