Mungeli. Ajay Kumar of Malkachhari, a small village in Lormi block of Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh, has made his life spent in struggles an example of achievement. Despite all these obstacles, extremely weak financial condition, limited resources and preparation without coaching, Ajay has achieved the distinction of becoming the first CGPSC selected officer of the village by securing 407 rank in the CGPSC-2024 examination in the second attempt. He has been selected for the post of Chhattisgarh Subordinate Accounts Service Officer (SASO), due to which there is a wave of happiness in the entire area.
Ajay Kumar tells Local 18 that his village Malkachhari has a population of 1200–1500, where no one had been selected in CGPSC till now. This was his second attempt, in which he achieved success by correcting his previous mistakes. This time only 6 people were selected from the entire development block, including Ajay.
YouTube became the support of studies
After working from 2021 to 2023, Ajay Kumar started full preparation from November 2023. Due to weak financial condition, he could not do coaching, so he used YouTube videos and Topper Strategy as his guide. He says that right direction and continuous practice made him successful in the second attempt.
Father supported the family by working as a laborer.
Ajay tells that his mother could study till fifth class and his father till tenth class. Poverty stopped his father’s education but he never gave up his dream of making his son an officer. Ajay says that his father supported him by working as a laborer and today his selection is the victory of that sacrifice.
Guides and friends maintained courage
Ajay says that the right guru and good friends are the foundation of success. Professor Himpal Rangari and Atul Kumar Mishra told the right way of preparation. DEO posted Ravi Shankar Yadav, Sumit, Devashish and Umashankar Bhaiya continuously inspired him. Friends Bhimpal Rangari, Nishant Tiwari, Duleshwar Maitri, Ruchi Tiwari, Manish, Gopal, Tarun and Nidhi helped in financial crisis.
