Dhanbad News: Binod Bihari Mahato Koylanchal University has once again strengthened its identity at the national level. Five NSS volunteers from the university have been selected for the prestigious National Adventure Camp 2025 to be held in Himachal Pradesh.
Binod Bihari Mahato Koylanchal University (BBMKU) has once again strengthened its identity at the national level. Five NSS volunteers from the university have been selected for the prestigious National Adventure Camp 2025 to be held in Himachal Pradesh. This national camp will be organized from 9 to 19 December at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and River Rafting, Peerdi. Where from Jharkhand, 3rd semester student of PG Commerce Department, Mohd. Mahtab Alam will represent.
Mahtab Alam has been continuously active in social work. Under NSS, he has made excellent contribution in many works like cleanliness campaign, environmental protection, education awareness and providing help to the needy. It is the result of his dedication, hard work and spirit of service that he has been selected for the national camp. Mahtab explains that the foundation of a better society is laid through education and equal opportunities. He has always been promoting the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign and motivating the youth of rural and urban areas regarding girls’ education. He believes that only when the daughter is safe and educated, the society and the nation will progress.
More than 500 trees have been planted so far
He told that till now he has planted more than 500 trees in the area. Mahtab’s primary education took place in Putki DAV School. He completed his Inter from SSNMS Sijua College, graduation from PK Rai College and B.Ed from Ravi Mahato College. Currently, he is pursuing postgraduate studies from BBMKU. Sneha Kumari, a student of Law College, Dhanbad, is also included in the selected students. Active in the field of social service, Sneha has been doing work like tree plantation, cleanliness campaign and distribution of clothes. She tells that her education started from Nali Bholi (Putki area), later she received higher education from Guru Nanak College. She gives credit for this success to the guidance of her teachers and family. He said that social service has given him confidence to move forward in life.
BBMKU value increased
NSS volunteers said that their selection in the limited seats allotted by the university is a matter of pride and inspiration for them. After returning from this national camp, they will work for social change with more skills, experience and energy. The achievements of these students have not only increased the prestige of BBMKU but also given direction to the enthusiasm of the youth of Jharkhand.
