Mahendergarh News: Rajendra Singh Lodha, who was twice former head of the municipality, died in a road accident in Haryana. He lost his life in an accident in Rewari. Rajendra Singh Lodha, who was the former head of the municipality twice, was returning from a wedding in Rajasthan when he met with an accident.
Mahendragarh. Rajendra Singh Lodha, who was twice former head of Kanina Municipality of Mahendragarh, Haryana, died in a road accident in Rewari. His daughter-in-law is the present chairperson of Kanina Municipality. The accident happened on Thursday evening, when he was going in his car to attend a wedding ceremony.
Kanina Municipality councilor Rajendra Singh Lodha, 79, was traveling in his car from Rewari towards Rajasthan on Thursday for a wedding ceremony. During this time a bus hit his vehicle. Another person present with him also suffered serious injuries in this accident. On the other hand, after the accident, Rajendra Singh Lodha was admitted to a private hospital in Rewari. Where late at night the doctors declared him dead. His post mortem will be conducted today in Rewari. After which his last rites will be performed in Kanina.
Market closed after the incident
When people came to know about this incident, the traders of Kanina town expressed grief by keeping their establishments closed. Many private educational institutions also remained closed. Rajendra Singh Lodha was also currently the councilor of Ward 14 of Kanina Municipality. His daughter-in-law Dr. Rimpi Yadav is currently the head of the municipality. He has three sons. Which includes Hoshiar Singh, Subhash and JP Lodha. Among them, Hoshiar and Subhash run a private school in Kanina by the name of GL School. Whereas JP is a lawyer.
Contested assembly elections thrice
Rajendra Lodha also contested the Kanina assembly elections thrice, but could not become MLA. He contested MLA elections from Chaudhary Devi Lal’s Samta Party in 1991, from INLD in 1996 and from BSP in 1996. Rajendra Lodha was also the Chairman of Kanina Municipality from 1987 to 1991 and later from 1995 to 2000. At one time he also became the chairman of Kanina Market Committee.
