Dr. Sunita Paswan, a female scientist from the Agricultural Research Center based in Saharsa, shared her experience with the students in a special conversation with Local 18.
He told that agriculture is a field in which there are immense career opportunities. Today, if the students of Bihar work in this field with hard work and proper guidance, they can reach the high positions of Professor, Agriculture Officer, Agricultural Scientist and many others. Dr. Paswan says that choosing the right career is successful only when students pay attention to the selection of their subjects from the beginning. To move ahead in the agricultural sector, study of related subjects is very important, because from here the path forward is decided. He believes that if students study and prepare with hard work and discipline for about 25 years, then the life of the coming 75 years can be made safe and successful. To take admission in agriculture sector, it is necessary for students to have knowledge of the entrance examinations.
The most important entrance examination for the students of Bihar is Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE). After passing this, one gets admission in agricultural universities of Bihar. For admission in other states, one has to pass the examination of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). To appear in these examinations, it is considered necessary for students to have a strong base in agriculture related subjects or Maths and Science.
