In an important action, Delhi Police has recovered a 14-year-old schoolgirl missing from Kolkata, West Bengal. This girl studying in 9th class fell in love with a 17 year old boy on Instagram. After this, everyone was surprised by the work that both of them did together.
New Delhi. The story of a 14 year old girl from Kolkata reveals the end of love that develops through social media. Delhi Police has recovered a 9th class student from Kolkata, West Bengal on Wednesday. This 14 year old girl fell in love with a 17 year old boy on Instagram. Both of them took an oath to live and die. One day the girl ran away from home and reached Delhi. The families of both of them filed a case of missing and kidnapping. Understanding the seriousness of the matter, Delhi and Kolkata Police became active. Suddenly Delhi Police got a clue. When Delhi Police started investigation, surprising information came to light about both of them.
In the initial investigation of Delhi Police, this case was showing the growing relationships between minors and its dangers. Police started investigation from this angle. As a result, the team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit of Crime Branch of Delhi Police recovered this girl, who was missing from Kolkata, West Bengal, from Sultanpuri area of Delhi.
When did love blossom between the two?
Actually, the story of this girl going missing from Bengal to Delhi is shocking. A 14-year-old minor girl resident of Maniktala police station area of Kolkata was missing since 9 November 2025. A case was registered under Section 137(2) of the Indian Justice Code at Maniktala police station regarding his disappearance on 22 November 2025. Initial investigation by Kolkata Police revealed their Instagram connection.
Love ends badly on social media
Kolkata Police gave this information to Delhi Police. Delhi Police’s investigation also revealed that the girl, studying in class 9, had come in contact with a 17-year-old minor boy on Instagram. After making a plan and having a fight with their parents, both of them decided to leave the house and went straight to Old Delhi Railway Station. From there he contacted his friend on Instagram. The boy brought her with him to Sultanpuri area, where they both took a room on rent and were living together.
Where did Delhi Police send the girl?
In view of the sensitive case of a minor, Anti Human Trafficking Unit Crime Branch, as the nodal agency of Delhi Police, immediately started action. A special team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Mukesh Kumar. Virendra Singh, director of ‘Mission Mukti Foundation’ also cooperated in this investigation. On the basis of technical monitoring and thorough investigation, the team traced the girl. The team successfully recovered the girl from Sultanpuri area. The girl has been handed over to the local police station Sultanpuri for further legal proceedings and necessary action.
Considering the sensitivity of this matter, Delhi Police has advised parents to keep a close eye on the social media activities of their minor children, so that they do not have to face such situations.
