According to expert Vishwajeet, Dahlia is a flower which is very easy to plant in a pot. A 12-inch pot is considered perfect for this, because it gives enough space for the roots to spread and the plant becomes stronger. It is also very important to prepare the right mixture of soil for plantation. He told that if Dahlia is planted in black soil, it grows quickly. If soil is prepared by mixing coco peat and sawdust in it, then the plant grows better and the number of flowers also increases. This mixture makes the soil light and fertile, due to which the plant gets adequate air and moisture.
The expert also shared the right way of applying fertilizer to Dahlia to make it bloom faster and more flowers. He said that mustard cake should be given to the plant. This speeds up the growth of the plant and increases the number of buds. However, he also advised to exercise caution. Vishwajeet told that there is a risk of fungus and insect attack on dahlia plants, therefore, Rogar and Hamla fungicides should be sprayed from time to time. This keeps the plant healthy and the quality of flowers also improves.
