Hathras BLO Death News: The news of death of BLO in UP is not stopping. Till now 9 BLOs have lost their lives one after the other. Now after Bijnor and Sambhal, sad information has also come out from Hathras.
Hathras: There are continuous news coming in Uttar Pradesh regarding Booth Level Officer (BLO). Sometimes a case is registered against him and sometimes information about his suicide is coming to light. Now after Bijnor, a teacher BLO in Hathras also died of heart attack. On Tuesday morning, the BLO felt dizzy and fell down at his home. The family members were taking him to Aligarh for treatment. Then he died on the way. The BLO’s wife made serious allegations and said that her husband was under work pressure. He was under stress due to continuous calls.
So far 9 booth level officers have died in UP. Of these, 3 committed suicide, 4 died of heart attack and 1 of brain hemorrhage. Similarly, Assistant BLO Arvind Kumar (40), engaged on SIR duty in Sambhal, died in his sleep. Due to continuous loss of life of BLO, the officers also became strict. As soon as DM Atul Vats got information about the death of BLO, he reached his house. Comforted the family while sitting on the floor. The BLO’s wife told that there was work stress. We used to explain that there is no need to worry so much. If it is too much then leave the job. But they left us.
This is a new matter
The whole matter is of Nawali Lalpur village of Sikandrau police station area. 40 year old Kamalkant Sharma was posted as an assistant teacher in village Nawali Lalpur. He was working as a BLO for SIR. He died of a heart attack on Tuesday morning. As soon as the news of death was received, there was panic in the administration. Deputy District Magistrate and CO of Sikandrau reached his house and took information about the entire matter. The body was sent for post-mortem.
56-year-old Shobharani, resident of Mohalla Barwan of Dhampur area of Bijnor, was the BLO of booth number 97. Due to ill health, he was admitted to a hospital in Moradabad, where he died during treatment. This information was given by District Program Officer Vimal Choubey. The deceased’s husband Kripal Saini had told that Shobha was a diabetic patient and was ill. She kept uploading the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) form of the voter list online till late Friday night. When he started having chest pain at night itself, he took him to the hospital. Preparations for the son’s wedding were going on at home. According to the District Program Officer, there was no pressure on the BLO regarding the work. Shobha Rani was an Anganwadi worker.
This happened with the BLO of Sambhal
Earlier, a BLO assistant posted in SIR in Sambhal had died of a heart attack. The family members had accused the deceased BLO assistant Arvind of putting pressure on him to meet the SIR target. The deceased Arvind was the headmaster of the primary school of Hasanpur block of Amroha district and was a resident of Chaukuni village of Sambhal.
