Avadh Ojha News: UPSC teacher and former AAP candidate Avadh Ojha announced his retirement from politics and wrote an emotional message calling Arvind Kejriwal a ‘great leader’. But AAP leader Somnath Bharti immediately responded saying that politics is not a short-term project and Ojha should not have given up so soon. Ojha will now return to the world of teaching.
Avadh Ojha News: Famous UPSC teacher Avadh Ojha, who had contested the Delhi Assembly elections 2025 from Patparganj on Aam Aadmi Party ticket and faced defeat, suddenly announced his retirement from politics. In his farewell message, he expressed deep gratitude towards the AAP leadership including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. He wrote in his post, ‘Kejriwal ji, you are a very great leader.’ But as calm as his emotional message was, AAP leader Somnath Bharti’s reply proved to be equally harsh.
Ojha said in the X post that his decision to leave politics is his personal decision and he will now return to his original work of teaching. However, just hours after his announcement, senior AAP leader and former MLA Somnath Bharti explained to him in simple words that politics is not a short-term project. It is not right to give up so soon. This contradiction makes this whole story more interesting.
Who is Awadh Ojha and why was he made AAP candidate?
Avadh Ojha is considered a popular teacher and motivational speaker of UPSC Civil Services Examination. He has a huge following on social media and is especially popular among the youth. AAP had played a big gamble by giving him the ticket in place of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia from Patparganj in the 2025 assembly elections.
