Also, there is a possibility of high humidity of about 78% and winds blowing at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour. What are scientists saying?
An IMD scientist said that the cold-wave like situation in the city is due to continuous clouds. The scientist said, ‘This is because of the clouds, which is ultimately due to the passing of Ditvah (cyclone).’ It was also told that due to lack of sunlight the temperature is remaining low. He said, ‘Once we start getting insolation (incoming solar radiation), the temperature is likely to improve.’
What’s going on on social media?
A user on social media said in the video, ‘Hi, I am not in Shimla or Himachal Pradesh. I am here only in Koramangala, Bengaluru. And I’m dying of cold right now.
