The cheap ration of PDS is on the verge of being stopped in Chhattisgarh. Those families who have not yet done their E-KYC, their ration cards may get canceled after December 5, 2025. Sarangarh – In Bilaigarh district, out of 2.22 lakh ration cards, verification of about 49 thousand beneficiaries is still pending. The administration has instructed all fair price shops to update E-KYC immediately.
In Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district of Chhattisgarh, out of 222996 ration cards, thousands of cards are in a state of cancellation due to lack of e-KYC. Apart from this, e-KYC has not been done in other districts, the government has clarified that the benefit will automatically stop if the time limit is crossed.
According to Sarangarh-Bilaigarh District Food Office of Chhattisgarh, out of total 674767 beneficiaries in the district, e-KYC of 49 thousand is still pending. Taking this seriously, the administration has appealed to the beneficiaries to complete the process immediately.
As the last date is approaching, the crowd of people in the fair price shops is increasing. Shopkeepers are busy updating e-KYC through biometric machines.

For e-KYC, beneficiaries will have to reach with Aadhar cards of all their family members. The process is completed by matching biometrics with fingerprints in the shop.
The district administration has clearly said that the cards which are not verified after December 5 will automatically be considered cancelled. Therefore, beneficiaries should compulsorily go to the nearest ration shop and get their e-KYC done as soon as possible.
