Gopalganj News: A minor was murdered in Gopalganj on Friday evening. He was sitting outside the house warming the fire, when bike-riding miscreants shot him. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area due to the incident.
Gopalganj: A minor was shot dead in Gopalganj, Bihar. The incident spread sensation in the area. He was sitting outside his house warming the fire, when armed criminals came on a bike, shot him in the head and ran away. The family members hurriedly took the teenager to the hospital, but by then he had died.
The incident took place in Khairatiya village of Nagar police station area. Where a 15 year old teenager was shot dead. The deceased has been identified as Alok Bin, son of Chandan Prasad. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the entire area and the family members are in bad condition, crying. According to the information, Alok was warming himself by lighting a bonfire outside his house. Meanwhile, the miscreants riding on the bike reached there. Without any altercation, the miscreants took out a country-made pistol and shot Alok in the head and fled from the spot. As soon as the bullet hit, the teenager fell on the ground and was seriously injured.
Chaos in the family
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the city police reached the spot. With the help of local people, the injured teenager was admitted to the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital. But the doctors declared him dead after investigation. As soon as the news of death was received, there was chaos in the family. The father of the deceased supports the family by driving an auto. Family members say that there was no enmity with anyone nor was there any kind of dispute going on. After the incident, the police has started investigation in the area.
Police investigating the case
On the instructions of SP Awadhesh Dixit, SIT has been formed under the leadership of Sadar SDPO Pranjal and City Police Station Head Praveen Prabhakar. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. Also, the miscreants are being identified with the help of the technical cell. It is noteworthy that incidents of firing have been continuously coming to light in Gopalganj district for some time. Sometimes incidents of firing have taken place due to land disputes and sometimes due to personal enmity. In recent months, there has been open firing several times in the city police station and surrounding areas. These incidents have increased the concern about the safety of common people. People are demanding strict action from the police and reining in the criminals.
