Palamu. The one who once used to sell lemons in trains, today has become a YouTube celebrity. Mahtab Alam (Monty), a resident of Daltonganj in Palamu district, is earning lakhs of rupees from YouTube. When lakhs of people had lost their jobs during the Corona period, Monty’s earnings continued even at that time.
This young man from Medininagar is shining today through his videos on YouTube and Facebook. Monty has 29 lakh followers on YouTube, 17 lakh on Facebook and more than 55 thousand followers on Instagram. During a conversation with StuffunknownLocal, Monty told that his father Alimuddin Khalifa used to work as a tailor in Daltonganj. He used to work hard and somehow feed the family. The responsibility of mother Aamna Khatoon and other siblings was on his shoulders.
This is how the journey started
In such a situation, to reduce the burden of his father, Monty quit his intermediate studies at Girivar School and started selling lemons in the train to earn. Then started selling ice cream in the fair. Used to work as a watchman in the night market. Also did welding work in Gujarat for a few days. At the same time, he also worked as a porter in the car for a few days, so that he could help the family. After this, he started doing photography in marriages. During this, he got information about YouTube through a friend. Then the dream of becoming a YouTuber came to Monty’s mind. For two years he did the work of videography in marriage and bought a mobile by adding money.

Monty initially put a blog on YouTube about second hand vehicles. In this journey some people made fun of him and some people also encouraged him. The family members were very angry with this work of Monty, but as if the ghost of YouTube was riding on his head. One day it happened when he got seven thousand rupees from YouTube for the first time. With this first earning, Monty provided food to the poor of the station. Then in no time Monty started earning fame across the country.
From Monty Salon
Monty still posts second hand car and lifestyle blogs on his YouTube channel. Monty has also got the title of a Silver and a Golden Disc through YouTube. After this, big companies have started promoting their products through Monty. Monty has opened a luxurious salon in the capital Ranchi with his YouTube earnings, named Monty Salon. Now he has also bought his own car.
