Skin Care Tips: People’s facial skin often becomes pale in winter. In such a situation, Hazaribagh’s skin expert Dr. Shyamanandan Tiwari has advised to take face oiling, aloe vera gel, lukewarm water, vitamin C fruits and light sunlight for face care. This will also cause redness on the face.
As soon as the winter season arrives, the first visible effect is on the face. Due to cold winds, low humidity and lack of water, the skin becomes dry and dull. The glow of many people’s face suddenly reduces, redness appears to reduce and the face starts looking lifeless. In such situations, people try different types of beauty products, but natural and easy solutions always work better.
On this subject, District AYUSH Officer of Hazaribagh, Dr. Shyamanandan Tiwari said that the skin needs a little more care in winter. Many types of remedies have been suggested in Ayurveda to bring back the glow and redness of the face in winter. By trying these remedies at home, redness on the face can be brought back.
He further said that in winter people often pour hot water on the face, due to which the moisture of the skin gets lost rapidly. Due to this the skin starts cracking and the face starts looking dull. Therefore, one should always wash the face with lukewarm water. This maintains the natural moisture of the skin and keeps the skin soft.

He further told that face oiling is very beneficial in winter. Light massage of ghee or mustard oil should be done on the face every morning. It nourishes the skin deeply and eliminates dryness. Especially people whose skin cracks easily. This solution is very beneficial for them. Due to this the redness of the face also starts coming back.
Doctor Shyam Nandan Tiwari further explains that applying aloe vera gel before sleeping at night keeps the skin hydrated and the moisture of the face remains balanced. It gradually returns the lost glow to the face and keeps the skin calm. The coolness of aloe vera also balances redness.
He further said that thirst is less in winter. For this reason people drink less water. Lack of water shows the most severe effect on the face. Therefore, one must drink at least 2–2.5 liters of water a day. Along with this, consume fruits like orange, guava, apple and pomegranate regularly. These fruits are rich in Vitamin C, which makes the skin glowing.
He further told that light sunlight in the morning is very beneficial for the skin. Due to this, Vitamin D is produced in the body and the complexion of the skin improves. Taking sunlight for 10 to 15 minutes daily reduces the darkness of the face and makes the skin look healthy.
