Til Ke Laddu Recipe: As soon as the winter season arrives, traditional dishes that keep the body warm and give energy start being prepared in every home. Among these, sesame laddus are considered the most special. Sesame seeds are rich in calcium, iron and healthy fat, which strengthens the bones and protects the body from cold. The combination of sesame seeds with jaggery not only enhances the taste but is also very beneficial for health.
Ingredients required for making laddus
To make this sweet at home, very few and easily available ingredients are required. About half a kilo of white sesame seeds, 300–350 grams of jaggery, two spoons of ghee and some cashew nuts or almonds for taste are enough. If you wish, you can also add cardamom powder to it, which increases both the aroma and sweetness of the laddu.
Roast sesame seeds the right way
Making sesame laddu starts with roasting sesame seeds. Heat a pan on medium flame, add sesame seeds and fry till it becomes light golden while stirring continuously. Keep in mind that the sesame seeds should not burn too much, otherwise the taste may become bitter. Light spluttering and aroma of sesame seeds means that they have been roasted properly. Take them out in a plate and let them cool.

Now put some ghee in the pan and add small pieces of jaggery in it and melt it on low flame. While melting the jaggery, keep stirring it continuously so that it does not stick to the bottom. When the jaggery melts well and starts foaming slightly, then understand that the syrup is ready. Keep in mind that the syrup should not be cooked for too long, otherwise it may become hard and there will be difficulty in making laddus.
Preparing sesame and jaggery mixture
Add roasted sesame seeds to melted jaggery and mix well. If you want, add finely chopped cashews, almonds and some cardamom powder at this time. It is easiest to make laddus while the mixture is still hot, so do not let it cool for too long. Apply some ghee on your hands and make round laddus of desired size.
Warm sesame laddus are ready
Nutritious and tasty sesame laddus are ready in a few minutes. These can be easily stored in an airtight container for one to two months. Eating one sesame laddu daily in winter provides warmth, strength and energy to the body. It would be better to eat one laddu with a glass of milk every night or if you feel like eating sweets after dinner, eat one laddu.
