Jaunpur: Do you know how safe is the food we eat every day? Often we focus on taste and filling the stomach, but ignore the quality of food. This carelessness is becoming the cause of serious diseases. According to experts, a common person is taking about 300 grams of toxic elements into his body every year with food. It is natural to be shocked to hear this. The question is how safe is the food kept in your plate and what diseases are entering our body through it. Let us know.
Dr. Ramesh Chandra Yadav, Deputy Project Director (ATMA) of the Agriculture Department, made a shocking revelation that in today’s time, the common man is unknowingly consuming about 300 grams of poison with his food every year. This poison is directly reaching our plates in the form of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and poisonous chemicals. Quoting a research, he said that this is the reason why cancer, sugar, blood pressure, heart disease and kidney diseases are increasing rapidly in the society.
Dr. Yadav said that in the race for more production, farmers are using excessive chemical fertilizers and pesticides in their crops. The effect of these chemicals is not limited to the fields only, rather it directly enters the human body through vegetables, fruits, grains and pulses. Due to consumption of these poisonous elements for a long time, the body’s immunity is weakening and people are falling prey to serious diseases at an early age.
He said that the green vegetables and shiny fruits sold in the market today may look attractive, but the chemical residues present in them are extremely dangerous for health. This is the reason that whereas earlier diseases used to occur in the last stages of life, now youth and children are also seen suffering from diseases like sugar, blood pressure and cancer.
If we do not take precautions in time, the coming generations will have to suffer heavy consequences. For a healthy society, it is important to reduce poison from farm to plate and promote natural farming.
