Once again something similar was seen when American MP Bill Huizenga has said that Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and its affiliate group The Resistance Front are responsible for the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. This statement has come at a time when an installment of billions has been given to Pakistan by the IMF.
Bill Huizenga reminded that both organizations were included in the list of foreign terrorist organizations by the Trump administration in July 2025. His statement reflects the growing concern in Washington about Lashkar-e-Taiba-linked networks and their potential for cross-border violence. It is clear from his statement that if America knows the activities of Lashkar, then it would also know from where it is getting its funding. Huizenga was speaking at a hearing of the South and Central Asia Subcommittee on Foreign Affairs of the US House of Representatives, which was about the US-India strategic partnership.

Now the issue is that if the leaders of Trump’s party themselves know about the involvement of Lashkar in the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir in April and are also accepting it, then why so much love for Pakistan? The world saw that after the killing of terrorists in Lashkar’s camp, when the funeral processions arose, Pakistan’s Army Chief and PM came to lend a shoulder. After this, Shahbaz’s minister openly said that the government will give money to build the headquarters of Lashkar. Despite this, Donald Trump not only praised Asim Munir but also served him biryani. They continuously support Pakistan, whereas the friendship between China and Pakistan is not hidden from anyone.

During the hearing, he talked about the rapidly strengthening economic and strategic relations between India and America. He said that India’s rapid economic progress has made it a big market for American companies. They believed that India is one of the fastest growing major economies in the world and American companies want to invest in the Indian market with a level playing field and transparency. He said that a new trade agreement between the Trump administration and Prime Minister Modi will further strengthen the relations between the two countries and will give a new direction to economic cooperation. In this session, Huizenga also said that America is the largest economy and India is going to become the third largest economy. In such a situation, only by coming together can the influence of China be balanced.
