You do not need many things to make carrot halwa. For this, 1 kg red carrot, 1 liter full cream milk, 4-5 teaspoon desi ghee, 6-7 teaspoon sugar as per taste, 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, cashew nuts, almonds and raisins are sufficient.

First of all, wash the carrots thoroughly, peel them and then grate them. Now pour milk in a heavy bottomed pan or pan and boil it. After the milk boils, add grated carrots to it and let it cook on medium flame. Keep stirring occasionally so that the milk does not stick to the bottom.
When the milk gradually thickens and mixes well with the carrots, then add ghee to it and fry for some time. Now add sugar to it and mix well. After adding sugar, the halwa will regain some moisture, so cook it until it becomes thick again. Finally add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits and mix well.
