The ministry said that more than 10,81,300 doses of the vaccine are yet to come and these will be available to the states and union territories in the next three days. At the same time, the central government has issued new instructions on Friday to stop the wastage of the vaccine. It has been said through a release that every vaccinator should note the time and date of opening of the vial. Each vial should be used within four hours of opening. If it cannot be used then it should be removed. It has been said that 1 percent vaccine wastage is expected. If the wastage is even less than this, then it will be a better thing.
