The winter session of Bihar Assembly is starting today from 1st December. Where all 243 MLAs will be sworn in. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will also be present in the House and will play the role of Leader of Opposition. Tejashwi Yadav, who remained silent after the election results, is expected to present his stand on the defeat of the Grand Alliance in the House.
Patna: After the formation of the new government in Bihar, the winter session of the Assembly is starting from 1st December. All 243 MLAs will be sworn in on the first day of the session. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will also be present in the House during the session. People are hopeful that he will present his stand on the assembly election results and the crushing defeat of the RJD-led grand alliance.
Tejashwi Yadav has not faced the media after the election results. He had congratulated Nitish Kumar on the victory only through tweet. Since Tejashwi Yadav has been elected the leader of RJD and Grand Alliance Legislative Party. Therefore, he will play the role of Leader of Opposition in the House.
The process of election for the post of Speaker will begin
Senior JDU MLA Narendra Narayan Yadav has been appointed pro tem speaker. He will be the first to take oath himself. After which all the remaining MLAs will be administered the oath. The election process for the post of Speaker will also start from today. After the swearing in, nominations for the post of Speaker will be filed and the chance to withdraw the nomination will also be available only today. The election of the Speaker will be held as soon as the House proceedings begin in the morning on 2nd December.

Let us tell you that the election results came on 14 November. In which NDA got a clear majority. At the same time, the Grand Alliance had to face a crushing defeat. In the 243-seat assembly, the NDA returned to power with a two-thirds majority by winning a landslide victory on 202 seats. In this election, BJP emerged as the largest party in the alliance by winning 89 seats, followed by Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) with 85 seats, while Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) won 19 seats.
In contrast, the grand alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav had to face a crushing defeat and was reduced to only 35 seats. In which Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) got only 25 seats and Congress got 6 seats. This decisive mandate gave Nitish Kumar the opportunity to take oath as Chief Minister for the tenth time and re-established NDA’s dominance in Bihar politics.
