S-400 Air Defense News Update: India does not want to make any mistakes in its security preparations to deal with the situations after Operation Sindoor. After being badly defeated in this operation, Pakistan can retaliate at any time. In such a situation, we need to be completely alert. On the other side is China, which is Pakistan’s best friend. India can never trust him. For this reason, India does not want to leave any gap in its defense preparations.
What is the change in policy
In fact, Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said in a program of news agency ANI that a major change has been made in the rules related to purchase of weapons under the emergency clause. Under this, if the supply is not received within one year from the date of the deal, the government will cancel that deal. He said that this rule will put pressure on the supplier company to fulfill its promise on time.
What was said about S-400
Rajesh Singh said that this issue will be raised during Putin’s visit to India. He is coming to India on 5th December. Many important agreements can be made during his visit. He said that we want a clear answer from Russia on the delivery of S-400.

Why was there a need for strict rules?
After Operation Sindoor, the government had taken a major policy decision. It has given approval to the three armies that they can spend 15 percent of their budget on purchasing weapons in emergency. On a question related to delay in delivery of weapons, Rajesh Singh said that only local companies cannot be held responsible for this. In fact, you have seen that there is a lot of delay in the delivery of S-400 to Russia. There is also a delay in completing arms deals with Israel because it was also embroiled in war. Similarly, there is a problem in the supply of F404 engine of American company General Electric i.e. GE. These engines are to be installed in India’s indigenous fighter jet Tejas-MK1A.
