After the changing seasons, everyone from children to adults suffer from cold, viral or seasonal fever. The fever reduces with the consumption of medicines, but after fever, the body starts struggling with weakness, joint pain, loss of appetite, pain in legs and insomnia. It is important to take full care of the body even during recovery after fever.
Ayurveda says that it is very important to balance the weakness after fever. Due to fever, the digestive fire of the body becomes weak and energy and vitality in the body starts decreasing. Weight starts falling and appetite almost disappears. In such a situation, some remedies have been suggested in Ayurveda by which weakness after fever can be easily removed.
Ways to relieve problems after fever
Eat Moong Dal Khichdi: Include Moong Dal Khichdi in your daily diet. In Ayurveda, Moong Dal Khichdi has been called the “best diet” as the body does not have to put in much effort to digest it. Lentils are full of protein, which helps in strengthening the body. If it is eaten mixed with ghee, the nutritional properties will increase along with the taste.
Eat ripe bananas: Consuming ripe banana is also beneficial. Banana contains glucose, potassium and pectin, which helps in strengthening muscles and bones. Banana is a great source of energy. Consuming it daily will remove weakness.
Giloy juice: Giloy juice is useful in all types of fever. It can be consumed even after fever. For this, it is beneficial to make a decoction by mixing Giloy, ginger and basil and consume it. This reduces weakness, gradually increases appetite and it is also easy to digest.
Get enough sleep: Along with diet, there is also a need for rest. To overcome weakness after fever, it is very important to take adequate sleep. For this, take at least 8-9 hours of sleep. This will give time to repair the body cells.
Keep the body hydrated: It is very important to keep the body hydrated during and after fever. For this, drink coconut water and plain water only after boiling it. Coconut water contains potassium, sodium and minerals, which along with keeping the body hydrated, also soothes the irritation caused by medicines.
Drink coconut water: In the summer season, you can take coconut water in the morning and evening, whereas in the winter, consume coconut water in limited quantities, because it has a cooling effect.
