Many people drink less water thinking that the body does not need much water in winter. However, the truth is exactly the opposite. If your body weight is high, you do a lot of physical work or workout throughout the day, then the amount of water can increase further. To compensate for the lack of water in winter, you can also take lukewarm water, herbal tea, soup and infused water. People are unable to recognize the symptoms of dehydration due to less thirst in winter. Dry lips, dryness in the skin, yellow or dark color of urine, constant fatigue, headache, dizziness and dry mouth are signs of dehydration. If any of these symptoms are seen, water intake should be increased immediately.
Even if you do not feel thirsty in winter, keep drinking water little by little. Drink a glass of lukewarm water as soon as you wake up in the morning. Take some water before and after every mile.
