Referring to the proverb ‘Whose stick is his buffalo’, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has made a sharp comment on the Russia-Ukraine war and the current global politics. He said that today’s international system is running on double standards, where there are different rules for powerful countries and different rules for weaker countries. Bhagwat said that if America takes any military action then questions are not raised on it, but if Russia does the same thing then it is blamed. Similarly, China’s actions are also immediately categorized as crimes. According to him, power and not morality has become decisive in global politics. He said that weak and small nations are often blamed for every problem, while big powers set rules according to their interests. Giving the example of the Russia-Ukraine war, Bhagwat said that this conflict needs to be understood not only from a moral perspective, but in the context of the balance of power and the reality of international politics.
