Many names are involved in the race for UP BJP state president. But the name which is trending at the forefront is that of Union Minister BL Verma. Because BL Verma is fitting every equation. Firstly, he comes from OBC community and then he is one of the experienced leaders. Apart from this, Sadhvi Jyoti Niranjan is also in the race. Recently he also met National President JP Nadda.
This will happen for the first time in BJP
Apart from Verma, who was a former Union Minister, among other possible names, names of OBC leaders like Swatantra Dev Singh (Jal Shakti Minister), Amarpal Maurya (Rajya Sabha MP) and Dharampal Singh are also coming up. However, the final decision will be taken only by the central leadership. Let us tell you that if Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti becomes the state president, then it will be the first time in the history of Bharatiya Janata Party, when a woman will become the state president.
