Indian Railways- Sometimes carrying home-cooked food while traveling in a train can prove costly. You may be prosecuted and fined. Therefore, do not make this mistake while traveling.
New Delhi. While traveling by train, many people do not like the food available on the way, that is why they travel with home-cooked food. But sometimes this food becomes too much for the passengers. Due to a small mistake, they have to pay a fine, due to which they are unable to forget the journey for the rest of their life. Railways has taken action by arresting such people.
Indian Railways is continuously taking action to catch those traveling without tickets in trains and spreading fines. All the divisions are forming teams at different stations on different days and catching those doing such work. In this direction, a day-long campaign was conducted in Agra division on 18 November. Railways has also got success in this campaign.
Division’s Public Relations Officer Ms. According to Prashasti Srivastava, special investigation was conducted at Rundhi station against those traveling without ticket, traveling irregularly, without book luggage and spreading filth. As a result, a fine of Rs 30740 was imposed on 110 passengers traveling without ticket/irregular travel and Rs 300 fine was imposed on 3 passengers for littering/smoking. In this way, a total fine of Rs 31040 was collected from 113 passengers. During this time, ticket checking staff and sufficient number of GRP and RPF personnel were present.
During investigation, it was found that the leftover food after eating was thrown in the nearby train or station. Due to which filth is spreading, doing so falls in the category of crime. Fine was imposed on them.
According to Agra Division, this type of investigation is being conducted continuously in the division, so that passengers traveling without ticket, irregular travel, unbooked luggage and spreading filth can be banned. Railways has requested the passengers not to pollute the stations and trains. Also, travel only after purchasing proper travel ticket and booking luggage in excess of the prescribed limit.
