Kanpur News: Dr. Somnath said that after the success of Chandrayaan-3, the enthusiasm of scientists has increased further. The data obtained from the lunar surface has further cleared the way for the next missions. The technology of the upcoming missions is being strengthened from this experience. India’s own space station will also be ready soon. The country is currently working rapidly on many missions.
Kanpur. India is going to create a new identity in the world of space in the coming years. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has made it clear that the first Indian astronaut will step on the Moon by the year 2040. The country’s own space station will also be ready between 2028 and 2035. Former ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somnath, who reached Kanpur on Tuesday, made encouraging revelations. Dr. Somnath said that ISRO is currently working rapidly on many important missions. India aims to leave the imprint of Indian footsteps on the lunar surface in 2040. For this, work is going on at many levels related to technology, space travel, training and security. The former ISRO chief said that India is no longer limited to lunar missions only. After building the country’s own space station, India will take a big leap in space research, experiments and technology related to staying in space for a long time. In the coming time, India will not only prepare a space station, but Indian scientists and astronauts will also be able to do research there.
Benefits from Chandrayaan missions
Dr. Somnath said that after the safe landing of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO got very important data – such as study of lunar surface activities, radar imaging, radiation and the elements present there. On the basis of this experience, missions like Chandrayaan-4 and Chandrayaan-5 are being taken forward. These missions will give a strong foundation to the dream of human landing on the moon by 2040.

Dr. Somnath, who reached Kanpur, before talking to the journalists, also inaugurated the astronomy lab built in a private school of the city. He said that such steps are very important to connect children with science and space. With the help of this lab, students will be able to learn about stars, planets, satellites and space missions in a scientific manner. He told the students that in the coming times, India will need such curious and talented children who can contribute to the country’s space missions.
space superpower
Dr. Somnath said that there is no dearth of talent in India. In the coming 10 to 15 years, India will be among the few powers in the world which run their own space stations and send human missions to the moon. He expressed confidence that the year 2040 will be historic for India, when the world will see how an Indian astronaut lands on the surface of the moon.
