When humans came to earth, they learned less things related to needs. How did they adapt themselves and transform into modern humans? These are some questions that probably come to everyone’s mind. But not everyone is aware of it. Recently a research surprised people which is related to our ancestors. Actually, in this research it was told how long ago humans had learned the skill of lighting fire. If you are thinking 30-40 thousand years ago…then you are wrong. You will be shocked to know the real time.
British scientists have made a major discovery, which may reveal that humans learned to burn fire thousands of years ago. According to this new discovery, humans started deliberately burning fire in today’s eastern England about 4 lakh years ago. Scientists have said this with great confidence. Till now scientists believed that humans first learned to light fire about 50,000 years ago, evidence of which was found from Neanderthal sites in France, but this new discovery has given a new timeline to that estimate which is 3.5 lakh years earlier than that period.
According to the report of ABC News, this discovery has been made in an area named Barnham in Suffolk, England, which is a place associated with the Stone Age. Excavation has been going on at this place for many decades. The British Museum team has found many types of evidence there. First of all, they found a large area of baked soil that had been transformed by intense heat. Apart from this, they found hand made tools of flint which were broken due to extreme heat. Along with this, two pieces of Iron Pyrite were also found. This is a mineral which produces sparks when it hits flint. These evidences together show that the fire at that place did not occur naturally, but was deliberately lit.
