National Award winner Neena Gupta was playing the role of a very small beggar in ‘Eena Meena Deeka’. In such a situation, he requested the director of the film, David Dhawan, to give some lines to his character too, on hearing this, David got furious. Recalling this anecdote, Nina says- ‘When he scolded me, I started crying bitterly. Because there were a lot of actors, and I was feeling really bad.
Neena further says- ‘Juhi Chawla was also the same at that time. Seeing me crying, she took me inside and told me ‘Don’t worry, when I started, I have also cried many times.’ Then he explained to me that David sir is in a very difficult situation right now. He is under a lot of stress and this and that. But, I have one good thing in me and that is that I have the ability to move forward. I used to pray to God many times that oh God this film should not be released.

She told that now she has come out of that incident and now she has a very good relationship with David Dhawan and she never forgets it. Nina says- ‘I am very friendly with David, I do not keep it inside me. I am very friendly with him and his wife, but I will never forget it. I forgive but I never forget. I moved on, don’t know how. God has given me this strength.
