Farmers have completed sowing in Azamgarh, but due to cold and moisture, yellow-orange stripes have started appearing on the crop, which is the main sign of this disease. Know from agricultural experts how you can get rid of it.
Azamgarh: The month of December is going on and the farmers of the district have almost completed the sowing of wheat. But it is equally important to monitor the crops after sowing. In this season, the temperature drops significantly, due to which many types of problems appear on the germinated seeds. As cold and humidity increase, the incidence of diseases on the wheat crop increases rapidly. In such a situation, it becomes very important for the farmers to do disease and pest control on time so that the crop can be saved from any major loss.
Symptoms appear like this in cold
Yellow rust has the most impact on wheat and barley crops in the cold of December. This disease progresses rapidly in cold and moisture and starts from the leaves.
Farmers can easily identify its symptoms because its identity is clearly visible.
When this disease occurs in the crop, yellow and orange colored raised stripes start appearing on the upper surface of the leaves of wheat and barley.
If such marks are seen in the field, then farmers should understand that the outbreak of yellow disease has started on the crop. In such a situation, it is very important to treat it immediately by spraying medicine, otherwise the disease affects the entire plant.
Agriculture expert Dr. Rakesh Pandey says that if yellow disease is not controlled in time, it can spoil the entire crop. He suggested that as soon as farmers see symptoms, they should spray the medicine immediately. For this, farmers should spray propiconazole 25 percent EC by mixing it with 0.1 percent fungicide solution. This mixture is considered very effective in preventing the rapidly spreading yellow disease in crops.
