What is six pocket syndrome?
This defines a faulty setup of child’s upbringing. When there is only one child in the house, he gets only love from everyone. His smallest and biggest requests are fulfilled. Whereas good parenting is strictly against it. To make a child a good and intelligent person, it must be kept in mind that the child learns to differentiate between right and wrong from an early age. The child should have self-confidence but not more than necessary, the child should respect his own feelings as well as the feelings of other people and understand them.
Symptoms of Six Pocket Syndrome
– Children suffering from this syndrome are dependent on others for their small tasks. From tying shoe laces to eating.
– Such children have no patience. They want their demands to be fulfilled as soon as they make them.
– These children do not share. They want everything complete. They consider themselves the most special.
-If these children are not heard, they become filled with anxiety. Their anger is so bad that they throw things and abuse people older than them.
– These children need validation the most. They always have to prove that they are the best.
Warning for parents
If you notice symptoms of six pocket syndrome in your child, address it without any delay. Keep in mind that not fulfilling the child’s insistence does not prove that you love him less. The child will be able to decide between right and wrong only when you teach him. In such a situation, how to behave, how to handle rejection, how to respect the feelings of others and how to remain humble with knowledge, you will have to practice all these things with your child from today itself. In this process, it is normal for you to get angry and the child to get upset.
