Faridabad: The weather of Haryana is becoming very strange these days. Sometimes strong cold winds start blowing, and sometimes suddenly mild heat is felt. The ups and downs of this weather have forced people to shiver especially in the morning and night. The Meteorological Department had already alerted the districts bordering Rajasthan like Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri and Narnaul. Well, now the direction of the winds has changed a bit, so there has definitely been some relief in the situation. The winds coming from the south-west have slightly increased the day temperature, but the cold of the night has not reduced.
The day temperature did not increase much on Thursday, but the morning cold definitely softened a bit. At night the temperature dropped a little further, which increased the chill. Weather experts say that now another western disturbance is moving towards Haryana. Its effect will be visible in the next 24 hours. Due to this, the day temperature may drop and the cold winds will become stronger again. Dense fog may occur especially in Panchkula, Ambala and Yamunanagar. Later, visibility is likely to gradually reduce in other districts also.
The night temperature troubled people in many areas. In Narnaul, Mahendragarh, Sonipat, Hisar and Sirsa the mercury dropped to 6 degrees and people sat near bonfires. The temperature in Yamunanagar was around 21 degrees during the day. Whereas in Bhiwani, slight warmth was felt in the afternoon and the temperature reached around 27 degrees.
As the mercury dropped at night, the minimum temperature in 12 districts went below 10 degrees. These also include districts like Gurugram, Rohtak, Faridabad, Panchkula, Karnal, Kaithal and Nuh. The night temperature in Ambala was 10.5 degrees, while the night in Bhiwani was slightly warmer than other places. The temperature here crossed 13 degrees.
Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Agricultural Meteorological Department of Chaudhary Charan Singh Agricultural University, Hisar, says that the weather may change again in the next few days. According to him, cold winds are going to come from the north and north-west due to which the night temperature may drop further. Dr. Khichad has advised people to take special care in the morning and evening. Because the cold can suddenly intensify at any time.
