Taking action, Dhanbad Police has exposed the West Bengal Constable Recruitment Exam question paper leak case. Police raided Jharia and detained 22 people, including 14 candidates. They were planning to leak the exam paper to be held on Sunday. Police have seized 272 admit cards, 70 mobile phones and other suspicious material from the spot and investigation is underway to find the mastermind of the gang.
Dhanbad: Dhanbad Police has exposed the West Bengal Constable Recruitment Exam question paper leak case during a major anti-crime checking campaign conducted on the instructions of SSP Prabhat Kumar. This action was taken in Jharia and surrounding areas on Saturday, where a joint police team of four police stations raided several lodges including Bandhan Lodge of Jharia.
22 people in custody, interrogation continues
During this operation, the police have detained a total of 22 people, who are being thoroughly interrogated. Those detained include 14 candidates who appeared for the examination, while the 8 main accused are said to be residents of Nadia district of West Bengal. Others linked to the racket include a driver from Dhansar, five tent house employees and a hotel operator. According to the police, the arrested gang members are mainly residents of Asansol, Durgapur and Nadia districts.
Revealed just before the exam
Police said that this syndicate was planning to leak the question paper of the constable exam to be held on Sunday, November 30 and preparations were going on to give the question paper to the candidates.
These were recovered along with 272 admit cards.
During the raid, the police seized a large quantity of suspicious material from the spot, which confirms their involvement in this leak racket. The recovered material included 272 admit cards, 70 mobile phones, 40 wrist watches, Bluetooth devices and various identity cards. Apart from this, ATM cards, passbooks, chequebooks, notebooks, mobile chargers, a carton pen and 10 gold-looking chains and other stationery and documents have also been seized.

Dhanbad Police is now investigating this entire racket in depth. Interrogation of the detained people is going on so that the mastermind and the entire network of this gang can be reached. The police is looking into all aspects of the investigation of this case and has also contacted the police of the border area of West Bengal so that the root of this big exam leak scandal can be reached.
