New Delhi. In many states of North India, the outbreak of cold wave has reduced a bit since Thursday. The Meteorological Department has warned that light to moderate rain may occur at many places in Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh. Due to Western Disturbance, the impact on the weather will be seen in the area under the influence of the Himalayas from January 20 to 26. If there will be snowfall and rain in the hilly areas, there is a possibility of rain in the plains as well. Due to this many areas of Delhi and UP will be affected.
The Meteorological Department said on Thursday that in some areas of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and northern Madhya Pradesh, the temperature was recorded from 2 to 5 degree Celsius. In eastern Madhya Pradesh, the temperature remained up to 2 degree Celsius. Apart from this, in the last 24 hours, there was an effect of cold wave in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, South Haryana. Dense fog remained in Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal, Jammu Kashmir, Bihar and Tripura.
It will rain between 20 and 26 January, many areas will be affected
The Meteorological Department has said that due to Western Disturbance, there will be light to moderate rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand from January 20. While there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall from 23 to 26 January. Here, along with Punjab, Haryana, there will be light to moderate rains in some areas of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of rain in Delhi from 23 to 25 January.
Dense fog in morning and evening in Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya
Giving information about dense fog in some states, the Meteorological Department has said that in Assam, Odisha, Meghalaya and Tripura, dense fog can be seen in the morning and evening hours on January 20 and 21. There can be some respite from the cold in the eastern states. In some states, the temperature may increase by 2 to 4 degree Celsius.
