According to the release issued by IMD on Tuesday, the weather may remain dry for 4-5 days in the Western Himalayan region. At the same time, there is a possibility of light or moderate rains in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh till January 14. Also, there may be heavy rain in Telangana till January 13.
The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh and many parts of East and North-East India is 2-4 degrees Celsius above normal. At the same time, there is a lot of possibility of a drop of 2-3 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature in the plains of North-West India in the next three days. Dense to very dense fog is very likely to occur over Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh during the next two days and over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh during the night or day.

The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave warning in Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Bhilwara, Churu, Hanumangarh, Nagaur and Ganganagar districts. Along with issuing a ‘Yellow Alert’ on Tuesday, the IMD has forecast moderate to thundershowers in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra for the next two days. According to IMD, many districts of East Vidarbha including Nagpur received hailstorm with rain on Tuesday.
The IMD’s Regional Meteorological Center at Nagpur has issued a ‘yellow’ warning for Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Gondia, Bhandara and Gadchiroli districts of Vidarbha till Thursday, the official said. He said that the IMD has warned that the spell of moderate rain with thunderstorm and lightning will continue in some areas of Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara and hailstorm with thunderstorm will continue in some areas of Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Yavatmal districts. could.
