Himachal Weather Update : Amidst the dry season in Himachal Pradesh, people are now waiting for rain and snowfall. The weather remained clear on Friday despite the alert issued regarding worsening weather in high mountain areas. The maximum temperature was recorded at 12.0 degrees in Kukumseri of Lahaul Spiti, 14.5 degrees in Tabo, 15.6 degrees in Manali and 22.6 degrees in Kangra. On Friday, there was dense fog in Bilaspur and light fog in Mandi. During this period, the minimum temperature of 26 cities in the state remained below 10 degrees Celsius. Whereas in 2 cities the mercury was recorded in minus.
What is the alert regarding weather?
According to Sandeep Sharma, scientist of Meteorological Center, Shimla, there is a possibility of clear weather in the state till December 11. Whereas during this period, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in the higher reaches of Lahaul Spiti on 6th December. On December 7, light rain/snowfall has been predicted in the high hilly areas of Chamba, Kangra and Kullu in the state. Also, a yellow alert is issued regarding fog in the morning in some parts of Bilaspur and Mandi on 7th December. There is also a possibility of an increase of 2 to 3 degrees in the minimum temperature in the state this week. Whereas amid the bad weather alert, a slight drop in the maximum temperature has also been predicted.
How was the minimum temperature in the state?
Now change is also being seen in the minimum temperature in Himachal Pradesh. In such a situation, the minimum temperature was recorded at minus -8.3 degree Celsius in Tabo of Lahaul Spiti. While the minimum temperature in Shimla was 7.2 degrees, Sundernagar 2.6, Bhuntar 2.5, Kalpa 0.2, Dharamshala 6.8, Una 5.5, Nahan 9.0, Palampur 4.5, Solan 2.1, Manali 3.4, Kangra 5.6, Mandi 3.7, Bilaspur 7.0, Hamirpur. 3.8, 7.6 in Jubbarhatti, 5.8 in Kufri, minus-5.2 in Kukumseri, 4.0 in Narkanda, 2.2 in Reckong Peo, 5.7 in Barthin, 9.0 in Paonta Sahib, 4.9 in Sarahan, 6.0 in Dehra Gopipur, 9.3 in Neri and 2.8 degree Celsius minimum in Bajaura. The temperature remained high.
