Himachal Weather Update: While the weather remains dry in most places of Himachal Pradesh, normal life is getting affected in Lahaul Spiti due to cold wave. Whereas at 8 places the minimum mercury remained below 3 degrees. In such a situation, there was light cloud cover in Shimla on Friday. Whereas in Kullu Manali the temperature has been recorded up to 22 degrees in the afternoon due to sunshine. People had to face difficulties in the morning due to dense fog in Bilaspur and light fog in Mandi. In such a situation, at most places the temperature has been recorded 2 to 4 degrees more than normal. In such a situation, the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Kukumseri at minus – 5.9 degrees. Whereas the highest maximum temperature recorded in Solan was 24.5 degrees. Due to western disturbance on December 14, the weather will deteriorate in high altitude areas.

Whose effect will be seen only in the high altitude areas of Lahaul Spiti, Kullu and Kangra. In such a situation, there is a possibility of light snowfall in these high altitude areas. He said that the morning and afternoon temperatures in the plains of the state have been recorded around normal. At the same time, in many areas like Shimla, Bhuntar, Bajaura, the maximum and minimum temperatures are higher than normal. He told that dry spell is continuing in the state. In such a situation, the weather has remained dry in the state since the month of November. However, last week only light snowfall was seen at high altitude places like Rohtang Pass and Baralacha Pass. There is also a possibility that this dry spell will continue in many areas of the state till December 18. Yellow alert regarding fog will also continue in Sundernagar, Bilaspur and Mandi areas.

The minimum temperature in Shimla district in the state was recorded at 9.2 degrees Celsius. 2.7 in Sundernagar, 2.0 in Bhuntar, 2.0 in Kalpa, 8.4 in Dharamshala, 5.8 in Una, 10.3 in Nahan, 4.5 in Palampur, 2.6 in Solan, 2.7 in Manali, 6.2 in Kangra, 3.8 in Mandi, 6.1 in Bilaspur, 4.3 in Hamirpur, 4.3 in Jubbarhatti. 8.8, 8.6 in Kufri, minus-5.9 in Kukumseri, 6.0 in Narkanda, 7.2 in Bharmour, 4.6 in Reckong Peo, 4.3 in Barthin, 9.0 in Paonta Sahib, 5.3 in Sarahan, 8.0 in Dehra Gopipur, minus-4.0 in Tabo, 9.9 in Neri, and Bajaura recorded 1.4 degrees Celsius.
