New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has predicted relief from the severe cold for the entire North India including the capital Delhi. IMD told that there will be no outbreak of cold wave in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand for the next 5 days. However, there is every hope of a change in the weather of the West Himalayan region due to the Western Disturbance. Its effect will be seen from 20 to 26 January. At the same time, due to western disturbance in the north-west plains, the possibility of rain from January 23 to 26 has been expressed by the Meteorological Department.

According to IMD, the minimum temperature of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand will increase by 2 to 4 degree Celsius in the next 24 hours. According to weather agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snow in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till January 22. Some heavy rain and snowfall may intensify over the Western Himalayas between January 25 and January 2. Light rain is possible in parts of Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and Delhi.

At the same time, another round of rain is possible in parts of Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh from January 23 to 27. The minimum temperature is expected to increase further in Northwest Central and East India. Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature was recorded from 2 to 5 degree Celsius in areas like North Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, East Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in East Madhya Pradesh was 2 degree Celsius. There was an outbreak of cold wave in Bihar, North Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, South Haryana. Apart from this, dense fog remained in Jammu-Kashmir, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura.
Weather condition of Delhi-NCR
On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was 3 degrees above normal at 22.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 1 degree below normal at 5.6 degrees Celsius. The lowest was 5.0 in Aya Nagar, 5.4 in Lodi Road, 5.6 degrees Celsius in Ridge. The lowest minimum temperature in NCR was recorded in Gurugram at 5.1 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature was 6.2 degrees Celsius in Noida and 8.8 degrees Celsius in Ghaziabad. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any significant change in the temperature for a week. Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Delhi-NCR on 23 and 24 January. There will be no drop in temperature during this time. The maximum temperature will remain between 20 to 22 degrees and the minimum temperature will remain between 7 to 10 degrees. At the same time, today the maximum temperature is expected to be 22 degrees and the minimum temperature is 9 degrees.
