Mumbai. Water taxi service connecting South Mumbai with Navi Mumbai is going to start. It is believed that this service can start by the end of this month. This will save about 25 minutes for the passengers. This service will be connected to Navi Mumbai’s Nerul, Belaput and JNPT with cruiser terminal at Mazagon in South Mumbai.
Infinity Harbor Services, associated with this project, claims that the cost of a one-way journey in a water taxi will be between Rs 200 and Rs 700. Apart from this, monthly passes will also be made. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can inaugurate this service this month.

Taxis will run on these routes
According to the report, the routes have been allotted by the government to some operators. This includes International Cruise Terminal to Elephanta, Domestic Cruise Terminal (DCT) to Rewas, Dharamtar, Karanjade, Belapur, Nerul, Airoli, Vashi, Khanderi Islands and Domestic Cruise Terminals for Jawaharlal Nehru Port.

Load of public trains will be less
Infinity Harbor Company said that after the start of the new service, the load of local trains will be less. Also, this service will be operational in all weather. At present, road and rail are the only modes of transport between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Water taxis will take 25 minutes to reduce the commute to a distance of about 30 km and take only 25 minutes.

50 people will be able to travel at a time
This water taxi is fully air conditioned. 50 people can travel together. Special attention has been paid to safety in this. Every person will be given a life jacket. This water taxi will run at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour and there will always be security personnel present in the ship.
