India’s Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan has given a strong message to Pakistan. Addressing young military officers on Friday, he said that wars are won not just by rhetoric and show, but by clear objective, discipline and concrete action. General Chauhan was speaking as the chief guest at the joint convocation parade of Autumn Term December 2025 at Air Force Academy, Dundigal. His statement is being considered as an indirect sarcasm on Pakistan.
CDS said that instability is increasing in many parts of the world today because the institutions there are weak and decisions are taken in haste. This leads to conflict and insecurity for a long time. On the contrary, India’s strength lies in its strong institutions, democratic system and professionalism of the armed forces.
Praising the Indian Army, he said that discipline, values and dedication to responsibility are the backbone of the country’s security. He told the new officers that they are now the guardians of this strong tradition.
At the end of his address, the CDS appealed to the officers to lead by example. He said that alertness, preparation and professional attitude will determine their success, whether in time of war or peace.
