Vaishali: If you are also doing mango gardening then be careful? Because even small carelessness can cause huge damage to your garden. Experts say that even though the mango tree is considered strong, its production reduces if it is not taken proper care of. The size of the fruit is also affected. Due to changing weather and increasing pest diseases, garden owners need to be even more cautious. Let us know from expert Raju Yadav what things need to be taken care of.
Keep these things in mind while irrigating
Raju Yadav tells that first of all let’s talk about irrigation. Mango tree requires water according to the season. Too much water can rot the roots, while too little water stunts the tree’s growth. Therefore, light irrigation is very important at the stage of fruit formation. At the same time, excessive moisture at the time of flowering can cause the flowers to fall off. Due to which the hard work of the entire season goes waste.
The second most important thing is fertilizer and nutrition
Mango tree needs organic fertilizer at least twice a year. Balanced use of cow dung manure, neem cake and micronutrients keeps the trees healthy and increases sweetness in the fruits. Many farmers become dependent only on urea or other chemical fertilizers, due to which the fertility of the soil reduces. In the long run the health of the garden deteriorates.
Pest and disease control is also necessary
Pest and disease control is also very important. If mold disease, grub or fruit fly is not controlled in time, half the crop can be damaged. Use of biological medicines and pheromone traps is being considered a better option today. Finally, don’t ignore pruning. New shoots emerge from this. The tree grows in a balanced shape. If these things are kept in mind, the mango orchard will not only be safe but will also give good, sweet and heavy production every year.
