Sometimes even a simple and daily habit can have a big impact. Walking is one of those easy habits, which people often take for granted. Many people think that just walking will make no difference, fat will burn only when you sweat.
Fitness coach and weight loss expert Anjali Sachan clears this misconception. He says that fat can be reduced by proper method and continuous walking. In his social media post, he has clearly explained how much walking is required to reduce 1 kg of fat and how many calories are burnt in the body by walking 1,000 steps. If you are also looking for an easy and sustainable way to lose weight, then this information can be very useful for you.

What exactly is fat?
According to Anjali Sachan, the fat stored in the body is actually a store of energy. When we eat more than required and do not spend enough calories, the same extra energy gets stored in the body as fat. 1 kg of fat is equal to approximately 7,700 calories. This is not water weight or swelling, but real fat, which takes time to reduce. The good thing is that once this fat is burnt, it does not come back on its own. For this reason, it is considered more beneficial to do fat loss slowly and properly instead of doing it quickly.

How many calories does walking 1,000 steps burn?
Fitness coach Anjali Sachan says that on an average walking 1,000 steps burns around 50 to 70 calories. This number may vary slightly depending on age, weight, walking speed and body type.
When you walk, not just your legs, your entire body works. Muscles become active, balance is maintained, breathing becomes faster and heart beat increases. The body spends energy in all these processes, which burns calories.

How many steps need to be taken to lose 1 kg of fat?
If 1 kg fat = 7,700 calories
And 1,000 steps = about 60 calories (assuming average)

So in simple terms,
7,700 ÷ 60 = approximately 1,28,000 to 1,50,000 steps

Meaning, to lose 1 kg of fat just by walking, one has to take about 1.25 lakh to 1.5 lakh steps.

How many walks should one take daily to see results?
Anjali Sachan says that if a person walks 10,000 to 15,000 steps every day, then this target can be achieved in 10 to 12 days. This means that without going to the gym or following a very strict diet, 1 kg of fat can be reduced in about two weeks. It is important to understand here that this fat loss is slow, but sustainable. In this, there is not much pressure on the body and there are no problems like weakness or dizziness.

Why is walking safer for fat loss?
According to fitness coaches, walking is a reliable method of long-term weight loss. It has many advantages:
-Calories burn slowly and steadily
-Don’t feel very hungry
-No adverse effect on hormone balance
-Problems like periods or thyroid do not increase
-The body does not get very tired
-Stress reduces and mood improves

For this reason walking is considered suitable for people of all ages.

Is it okay to walk more in a day?
Anjali clearly says that fat does not reduce in a day. Walking too much one day can cause fatigue the next day and people leave the routine. It is better to go a little bit every day. These small steps together make a big difference.

If you want to lose weight and gym or heavy workout is not for you, then nothing can be a better start than walking. With the right pace, daily habits and some patience, you can lose fat without troubling yourself.
