New Delhi. Tata has created a stir in the market by launching Sierra SUV on 25th November. Recently the company has also declared the prices of all its variants. Now, Tata Motors has achieved a major feat with its new Hyperion 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which has been introduced in the high-spec variants of the new Tata Sierra. During the high-speed test at the NATRAX proving track in Indore, the Sierra equipped with this engine achieved a top speed of 222 km/h. This achievement not only makes it the fastest Sierra ever, but also makes it the fastest SUV in its segment, meaning Tata is the best option in the segment not only in terms of mileage but also in terms of performance. The Hyperion 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine is exclusively paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and is available only in the Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+ variants of the new Tata Sierra. The price of this powertrain starts from Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Sierra: Design
If we talk about the design of Tata Sierra, its boxy look is inspired by the old model, but it has many elements which give it modern appeal. The SUV has an upright stance and makes ample use of gloss-black panels that house the LED headlights and DRLs along with the brand’s logo and “Sierra” lettering. Apart from this, skid plate and two fog lamps are also provided in the bumper.

Talking about the interior, the cabin of Tata Sierra is premium, which has three dashboard displays – one for the driver and two for infotainment, which can easily share content. It has a four-spoke steering wheel taken from the Tata Curve, which has illuminated Tata logo and touch-sensitive controls. Apart from this, features like 12-speaker JBL sound system, first-in-segment SonicShaft soundbar, dual-zone climate control, India’s largest panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, rear sunshades, ventilated and powered front seats are also available. To increase comfort, Sierra has also been provided with soft-touch panels and floating armrest, which makes its interior look even more premium.
For safety, Tata Sierra gets Level 2 ADAS suite, which includes electronic parking brake, 360-degree camera, dual blind spot detector, ESP with 21 functions and other features. Apart from this, standard safety features like 6 airbags, seatbelt anchor pre-tension, Isofix tethers for child safety, 3-point ELR seat belts for all passengers are also provided.
Price starts from Rs 11.49 lakh
Tata Sierra has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the Sierra SUV will begin from December 16, 2025, and deliveries will begin from January 15, 2026.
