Patna/Nalanda. Such an emotional and inspirational story has come to light from Barah village located in Tal area of Nalanda district, which has sparked discussion in the entire area. Chandrakanta Devi, who lives here, became completely alone after the death of her husband and only son. But, instead of being broke, he decided to donate his entire wealth to society and faith. Chandrakanta Devi is selling her real estate and building a grand temple “Arun Dham” in the village – dedicated to the memory of her late husband Arun Kumar and son. According to the information, the husband died of brain hemorrhage in 2014. After this, in 2023, his son, who was studying in Baba Ramdev’s Kunal Ashram, died after being beaten by some people. Chandrakanta was left alone after losing her two biggest supports. The relatives stayed together for a few days, then left. In such a situation, she said – “God became the only support for me. Husband and child were bigger than property. When they are no more, then what is the use of this property?” Despite local opposition, Chandrakanta remained firm on her insistence and started the construction of the temple. Statues of Shani Dev, Shivling, Radha-Krishna, Surya Dev, Nav Durga and Panchmukhi Hanuman will be installed in the temple premises. Besides, arrangements for marriage halls, ponds and accommodation for travelers have also been made for poor families. In the society where people fight over property, this decision of Chandrakanta Devi has become a unique example of human compassion and faith.
