Patna: If you travel with your vehicle in the capital Patna, then be careful about parking on the roadside. Doing this can be heavy on your pocket. Especially in some areas, do not do this work even by mistake. Actually, Patna Municipal Corporation has taken a big step to crack down on the increasing traffic jams and illegal parking in the city. Now challan will be issued directly for parking the vehicle in no parking zone on the main roads of Patna. The special thing is that this challan will not be issued by any traffic policeman, but by a state-of-the-art automatic number plate recognition camera. This information will be sent immediately through message on the registered mobile number of the vehicle owner.
Now, if a vehicle is found parked in a no-parking area anywhere in Patna city, the vehicle number is automatically scanned and a challan is generated with the help of high-resolution cameras of the Integrated Command and Control Centre. This process has become completely digital and automatic. Let us tell you that the camera will not challan those vehicles which have stopped for a few seconds only for loading or unloading passengers. Fine will be imposed only if the vehicle remains parked for a short period.
Apart from the challan for no parking, a total of 53 challans were issued using this technique on Saturday. This action will continue continuously and all vehicles violating no-parking rules will be challaned without any exception.
Don’t make mistakes in these areas
Special monitoring is being done on the major congested routes of the city. These mainly include Nehru Path, Boring Road, Kankarbagh, Raja Bazaar, Exhibition Road, Fraser Road, Station Area, Gandhi Maidan area and all other busy main roads of the city.
